Thanks for the nice comments on my blog. The thing I'm missing in my work is strong character. I love you characters they have so much life yet art simple and clear. Is the life in your characters just years of storyboarding and practice or do you have other secrets?Again real nice work.
Actually, I see a lot of character in your work. One of the things always I try to do (but don't always succeed at) is to give the characters specific expressions and gestures. I try to make them unique to the situation. For instance, if Chippy is watching a stripper, he'll have a happy expression on his face, but it'll be a different kind of happy than when he's put something over on someone. I also try to make the expressions unique to the character. This is stuff that you just have to work at. I've been doing this proffessionally for 12 years, and I still consider myself a novice. Everything is a learning process. Thanks for coming, and thanks for commenting!
Hey John. Great comment. I'll have to use that.
